Universal Grid System

PRESENTATION

I wouldn't talk to you here about the advantages and disadvantages of Grid trading, everyone knows them.

I wouldn't tell you about the false myths about it either.

I would summarize all of this by saying: Yes, it is possible to earn money with a grid trading system and yes, it is also possible to lose money. As with any type of trading system.

The key is not to be too greedy, to use a coherent setting and a rigorous money management.

VOLUME PROFILE

Another grid trading EA, you might say ?

Yes and No !

We all know that prices are in ranges 80% of the time, we also know that these ranges generate higher transaction volumes first because of their number and second because they are key levels.

The idea is to use the "Volume Profile" indicator to identify areas where many transactions have already been made and where the probability of prices remaining for some time is high.

RECOVERY

Of course, as with all market neutral strategies, your account may be in danger if prices fall (or rise) indefinitely.

A hedging and recovery function has therefore been implemented.

When the DD exceeds a defined value (20% of the account by default), critical positions are hedged and the EA reduces grid size with its gains.

PARAMETERS

General:

Magic number: the EA uses random magic numbers above the value 0xFFFFFFFF (4294967295).

Grid volume: positions volume,

Leg of the grid: do not use a leg that is too small, profits increase with the risks,

Grid Take Profit: when the TP is reached, the EA closes all open positions and waits to find prices where a volume peak has been observed - do not use a take profit that is too high,

Grid direction: direction of the Grid (Long, Short or Both),

Range Size to exit at BE: minimum number of open positions to exit at Break Even (security),

Dynamic Volume

Use Dynamic Volume according to the number of open positions - Allow the EA to refocus on current prices

Step size of the Number of positions to increase the volume

Dynamic TP:

Instead of using a TP placed on the next pending order, the EA will close the positions during trend reversals, those reversals are determined by the crossing of moving averages in the indicated timeframe.

Recovery:

Max Draw Down before hedging (% account): level to start hedging and recovery functions,

Unbalanced hedging coefficient: the EA hedges the positions + 'x' % to be in the right direction

Proximity (%) to the top/bottom of the range: proximity to the top/bottom of the range (%) where a hedging position is opened

Daily Recovery

If the number of open positions is greater than the maximum grid size, use this part of the daily profit to reduce the grid size.

VolumeProfile:

Use Volume Profile: this function limits risks and increases profits,

Level to identify high volume (%): a value of 60 means that all values above 60% of the maximum will be considered a high volume area,

Volume Profile History (Days): history used to calculate volume profile
